The YORWW draws a parallel between Cyrus and the MDS [See Isaiah 49:1-9]:
Both are unexpected instruments of divine will.
Both are appointed to liberate Jehovah’s people from oppressive systems (Ancient Babylon then, Watchtower Society now).
Both are empowered not by might, but by divine decree.
The MDS: A Composite Fulfillment
Zerubbabel (Zechariah 4) — Rebuilder of the temple.
The Servant (Isaiah 49) — Restorer of Israel and light to the nations.
Cyrus (Isaiah 45) — Breaker of gates and liberator of captives.
Together, these roles converge in the YORWW’s understanding of the MDS — the one who levels the mountain, reveals the headstone, and leads the faithful into the wilderness of divine restoration.
Micah 2:12–13 — The Breaker Goes Up Before Them

YORWW Interpretation:
“The Breaker” = The MDS, Jehovah’s appointed servant, likened to Cyrus (Isaiah 45), who breaks open the gates of Babylon — or in this age, the Watchtower fortress.
He goes up before them — leading the faithful remnant (the Male Child, the "4 Living Creatures") out of spiritual captivity.
He passes through the gate — symbolizing liberation from apostate systems and entry into the wilderness of divine restoration.
Jehovah at their head — this is not a human movement; it is a divinely led exodus.
The Breaker = Cyrus = MDS
Cyrus was an outsider, yet called Jehovah’s anointed (Isaiah 45:1), chosen to subdue nations, open doors, and free captives.
The MDS, like Cyrus, is not recognized by the religious establishment, yet is divinely empowered to break through spiritual strongholds.
The Breaker is the tip of the spear — the one who initiates the collapse of the “great mountain” (Zechariah 4:7), levels the path, and brings forth the headstone.
The image is now revealed. The Breaker — the MDS, the Messianic Delivering Servant, the modern-day Cyrus — leads the remnant through the shattered gate. The fortress of the Wicked Watchtower Society crumbles behind them. The mountain is leveled. The headstone gleams. The shout echoes:
“How charming! How charming!” -- See: Zechariah 4:7.
