What Is The Purpose Of "The Report" Book? (Ezekiel 21:6, 7)

The purpose of THE "REPORT' Document can best be described in the following words spoken at Ezekiel 21:7 which says:

"And as for you, 0 son of man, sigh with shaking hips. Even with bitterness you should sigh before their eyes. And it must occur that, in case they say to you, `On account of what are you sighing?' you must say, "At a report." `For it will certainly come, and every heart must melt and all hands must drop down and every spirit must become dejected and all knees themselves will drip with water. `Look! It will certainly come and be brought to occur,' is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah." -- New World Translation

The "Report" mentioned above as described by the prophet, is one of distress, turmoil and destruction that fell upon the nation of Israel" by the military force of Babylon, under powerful King Nebuchadnezzar. Included in that destruction was the total obliteration of the magnificent and incomparable temple, constructed by King Solomon, a temple that had been dedicated to the Name of God, "Jehovah." Israel," was to be internationally known as a specially blessed" people who were "called by God's Name. (Numbers 6:27; Deuteronomy 28:10)

Of course, many at this point would object and say:

"Why should anyone today place so much emphasis on the Divine Name, whether it is `Jehovah,' or Yahweh,' or some other pronunciation...why emphasize that Name so much...Really, is God's Name or the fact that ancient Israel was even `called by God's Name' of that much real importance for our day and time?"

Well, the fact of the matter is that Israel itself; was a people dedicated and sanctified to be a people for God's Name. Also, the city of Jerusalem was to be a holy city which was "called by God's Name." (Jeremiah 25:29; Daniel 9:19) And so, the people, the city, and the temple, were all called or identified by God's Name. Israel itself was to be a people for God's Name, just as the Christian congregation became such in later years. (Acts 15:14-17) And the temple of Solomon came to represent the cerc4er of that worship worldwide.

SOLOMON'S TEMPLE AND THE NAME OF GOD

Therefore, when the Babylonian armies, under Nebuchadnezzar, who was now acting as God's "Servant," were allowed to wreck the temple of Solomon, the system of worship of the Jewish nation was brought to its lowest Point. and gave clear indication of the great disfavor that had been incurred by the nation of Israel. (Jeremiah 25:9) This destruction came because God's Name People were not living up to the terms of the agreement in the Mosaic Law Covenant between the nation of Israel," and their God, Jehovah. And again, what was the real purpose of the temple in Solomon's day?

Well, the original purpose of constructing such a temple in the first p^ace was to bring praise to God's Name from distant nations. nations that formerly did not know of "Jehovah," the God of Israel, the God whose name was written down as four Hebrew letters, YHWH. Yes, to bring praise to the Divine Name of God on an international scale! This was the real reason for the temple construction. To prove this point, let's consider the actual words of Solomon when he dedicated the temple at I Kings 8:41-43 which says:

"And also to the to the foreigner, who is no part of your people Israel and who is no part of your people Israel and who actually comes from a distant land by reason of your name (for they shall hear of your great name and of your stretched out arm), and he actually comes and prays toward this house, may you yourself listen from the heavens, your established place of dwelling, and you must do according to all that for which the foreigner calls to you; in order that all the peoples of the earth may get to know YOUR NAME so as to fear the same as your people Israel do, and so as to know that YOUR NAME itself has been called upon this house that I have built." -- New World Translation

And so you can truly see that the construction of the temple and its worship there was intricately connected with honor and praise being given to God's Name. The Temple was `the place where God.s Name resided.' (Deuteronomy 26:1-3) Yes, Israel was a people for His Name, the same as Jehovah's Witnesses today, as a nation, are also a people for God's Name. Of course, this point and other related points having to do with identifying Jehovah's Witnesses as modem-day "Israel," will be further developed, in detail, later in this book.

A "GREAT WAR" ON TIIE HORIZON!!! (Daniel 10:1 NIV)

This publication ["The Report"] will also highlight the fact that even though Jehovah's Witnesses dwell in relatively undisturbed peace from the political nations in which they live, all such things will be short-lived. Yes, this publication actually predicts the coming of the Greatest War in all human history! And with that "Great War," will come persecution upon Jehovah's Witnesses, world-wide! Daniel 10:1 [NIV] sets the scene for us by saying,

"In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a revelation was given to Daniel (who was called Belteshazzar). Its message was true and it concerned a great war. The understanding of the message came to him in a vision." -- New International Version

The Bible again speaks of this "great war" in Revelation 6:4, as being the war "that took peace away from the earth." Daniel 11:40, 41 also states:

"At the time of the end the king of the south shall attack him. But the king of the north shall rush upon him like a whirlwind, with chariots and horsemen, and with many ships. He shall advance against countries and pass through like a flood. He shall come into the beautiful land (Israel) and tens of thousands shall fall victim." -- New Revised Standard Version -- Oxford Annotated Bible

Now, what people are represented by the expression, the "beautiful land" (Israel) where items of thousands" are to fall? Well, this document will show that the above verses, namely Daniel 11:40, 41 will have singular application upon Jehovah's Witnesses as "Israel" of Bible prophecy! These verses specifically tell us that after this "Great War," the "king of the North," who has now militarily defeated the "King of South" (aka United States of America) in battle, will now advance persecution on an unparalleled scale upon Jehovah's Witnesses, world-wide! And of course, this situation will be allowed to happen to "Israel" as a predetermined period of "discipline," already prophesied to occur for a specific and definite period of time. - See Isaiah 43:28, Daniel 11:36 and Revelation 13:5-7.

Now remember, although some Bible Scholars and Evangelists have occasionally predicted a great war in the making, no one has connected these events with Jehovah's Witnesses, no, not until the release of this publication we call "THE REPORT." And of course, when such world-wide persecution is heaped upon Jehovah's Witnesses, as a people, it will be clear for all mankind, earth wide, to see who really represents the "beautiful land," mystery "Israel," the "Land of Decoration" [Daniel 11:41 New World Translation] . . . yes, wayward, backsliding "Israel" of Bible prophecy. (See Isaiah 65:2; Romans 10:21; Matthew 23:37.)

Think about it.

The Report book tells that Jehovah has a modern-day "Israel", a world wide group of people who take Jehovah's name and are known for using God's name. They have gone away from his word and keeping his laws, just like ancient Israel did! They can see what happened to ancient Israel. In fact, how Jehovah dealt with apostate ancient Israel is famously and historically known throughout the world without question. Jesus said at Matthew 24:2 that there would not be one stone left that would not be thrown down.

So, "The Report" tells Jehovah Witnesses that this is going to happen again. It shows that Jehovah is angry about what is being done by modern day Israel, and it points out exactly why. Now, instead of bringing praise and honor to Jehovah's name and teaching the modern-day nations how to worship Jehovah, they are doing just the opposite. Because of the many bad things they are doing, they are bringing reproach on the name Jehovah.

The "Report Book" shows that both ancient and modern-day Israel are Jehovah's people because they carry his great and holy name. They are in a covenant relationship with him and because of this covenant, or contract, are obligated to keep his laws and commandments. Deuteronomy 28 spells out the blessings for obedience AND the curses for disobedience for being in this covenant relationship with Jehovah.

The "Report Book" helps us be aware of just how serious this current situation is for ALL baptized Jehovah's Witnesses today.

Excellent comment, Work4jah :D

The 'Report' is a expose' on Jehovah's Witnesses. Exposing them of all their false teachings and many lies.

Jehovah's Witnesses agreed to carry God's name since 1931 and came into a covenant relationship with him due to carrying 'the name' Jehovah.
They then broke that covenant relationship with Jehovah in 1991 when they aligned/joined together with the world's governments as a NGO. (James 4:4)

Jehovah has abandoned them due to this adulterous relationship with the nations and now, they are left vulnerable.

The 'Report' Book tells of a terrible time In human history (Ezekiel 21:6,7) and of how Jehovah's Witnesses are going to be disciplined due to their abandoning Jehovah but then later to be restored back to him, a small minority of them. Back to Jehovah as "his people" for "his name" modern day Israel.

This is a very near future scenario.
